A range of OS such as Windows 10, MacOS, Chromebook, Nvidia Shield, and droid etc. are now supported by Nvidia GeForce. You can play it on the web instead if you have a device is not supported.

You are required to have a minimum Internet speed at least of 15 Mbps. However, if you have lower internet, it will just throw a warning and let you proceed anyway.

Step 1

First thing first, you might need a VPN app so as to modify to at least one of the supported countries. For this example, I will be using a free VPN app – ProtonVPN.

Download and install the protonVPN app on your device. In my case, i'm using Windows 10. ProtonVPN only supports 3 countries within the free variants – US, Netherlands, Japan. Fortunately, Nvidia GeForce Now works altogether the three countries, hence, the country selection doesn’t matter during this case. I’m selecting the US for the sake of this tutorial.

Step 2

The next thing is to visit the official website of GeForce Now to download the exact software for your OS. Because I’m using Windows 10, here I’ll on Windows PC

Once you've got downloaded and installed the GFN app, open it. Within the app, you'll see the games included but as to play, we first got to create an Nvidia ID. to do so, click on the download button and you'd be redirected to the online browser.

Step 3 Creating ID

Click JOIN Today. It’ll open a special tab on the browser.

In case you already have a Nvidia account and are already logged within the browser, you'll see the NVIDIA logo. Click on it and you will be in with the same account.

On the new tab, hit the “JOIN TODAY” button.

Next, you'll be prompted to pick the pricing tier. Nvidia basically provides two pricing models that’s Free and Founders. The third one within the screenshot is simply Founder’s edition with a reduced tag.

Now, the main difference between Free and Founders edition is access to games. The Founder’s edition has access to tons more games than Free members. Additionally, free members have standard access to the servers and may only game for about an hour during a stretch. On the opposite hand, the Founders have a 6-hour session deadline and obtain priority access to the servers.

You’ll be asked to log in, once you hit the Join button. But, since we've to make our ID, click on the “Create account” link. You’ll also prefer to login with Google or Facebook.

Enter your details like Email address, password and DOB, etc. On the Create an Account page, to make an account. After entering your details, just click on the “Create Account” button

Once you've got created the account, you’ll receive a verification email on the mentioned email ID. After verifying the e-mail ID, you’ll be redirected back to the Nvidia GeForce Now app. Herein, to ascertain the free games, navigate to rock bottom and you'd see the “Free-to-Play” section. To the proper of the label, click on the “SEE MORE” button to ascertain all the free games.

Step 4: Starting the Game

To start playing on the website, you can select any one of the free games and then press "Play"

Almost each game has individual companies like Steam, Ubisoft, Warzone, etc. So, therein case, you'd even have to make a further account on the publisher’s site before you'll start playing the sport.

On the Browser

In case your device doesn’t support GeForce Now. as an example , GFN doesn’t support Linux. Additionally, if you discover downloading the Windows app and setting it up quite hassle, you'll play on the browser instead. Nvidia GeForce Now runs on the browser for Chromebook and with a Chrome agent switcher extension, we will play on Chrome within Windows 10 and Linux also. The experience on the desktop app and browser is nearly an equivalent.

Here you need to download and install the User-Agent Switcher for Chrome Extension. To do that, head over to the Chrome web store with this link and click on the “Add to Brave” button. (Because I’m using brave browser)

Head to the three dots, then right-click on the User-Agent Switcher icon upon downloading and select “Options“.

Here on the options page, we'd like to make a custom user agent called Chrome OS.

Basically, herein, we are creating a custom Chrome OS agent then we’ll map the GeForce Now domain with the Chrome OS agent. By doing this, anytimes you open the GeForce Now site ie., the site will consider your device as Chromebook.

Enter the below information on the options page.

  • New User-agent name: Chrome OS
  • New User-Agent String: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS aarch64 13099.85.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/84.0.4147.110 Safari/537.36
  • Group: Chrome
  • Append?: Replace
  • Indicator Flag: ASX

Then you've got entered the detail, click on the “Add” button.

Then, we need to add a custom data for the DNS – ““. To do that, simple switch to the “Permanent Spoof List”

On this tab, please insert the following entries.

  • Domain:

Select “Chrome OS” For User-Agent String, from the dropdown. It is the user agent we just make.

Upon done that, turn on your VPN and select the US server. For example, I am using a ProtonVPN for free.

Then visit and create your Nvidia ID. The process is pretty much similar to the above

You can now click play, once you are logged in.
